We went for the Chicken Cutlet Sandwiches that looked so sexy lol. I wanna try the grilled chicken one next time I visit here. We walked inside for lunch to grab something to eat. Nice awesome Deli here on the Jersey Side baby. Sandwiches were good with pickles, lettuce, and cheese tomatoes inside my sandwich. My girl got the same Sandwich and she was happy. Nice people working here. Lots of other good deli stuff to purchase as well. Reminds me of a Mom and Pop type of Deli.
This is a go to for fresh Italian favorites. Takeout is preferable. One of my favorite JC stops. You won't be disappointed.

Always great food but order early they get busy. And a biggie nowadays cash only! Negative side is trying to call for specials, be ready to take shorthand lol

Love this place! Great local spot to get a good sandwich! I've seen people eating full on meals here, but I've only ever ordered sandwiches for take out. Service is always great, everyone's really friendly. The bread is awesome, everything always tastes fresh, very solid deli! It's always pretty busy around lunch time, and there's no parking, but there is a strip of parking spots right across the street (or plenty of people just double park, but I'd call ahead to order!) prices are average for Jersey city. $10-$15. There's some seating inside but not a ton; it's definitely a little tight inside. *there's a step or two to get into the building, but no ramp for wheel chairs or strollers that I saw.
This place is a local gem that provides quality home style food and a very reasonable rate . There are very few places that compare let alone match up to Carmines this side of the river . Everything is fresh and good here without a doubt - going to this place for me it's like stepping back in time to seeing neighborhood places like this become staples of their community. I wouldn't change a thing about them . Kudos to you Carmines!
Great local spot. Everything is reasonably priced and food is delicious! Pasta and sandwiches are so flavorful. Place was packed. It is CASH ONLY so be aware before going! Highly recommend
